Re: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by angel72(f): 8:28pm On Apr 24, 2009
one person says 1 dollar gives you 148 naira, the other person says 1 dollar gives you 177 naira, how is that possible? Is the 148 the rates at the bank and the 177 the rates on the streets Please help me out here
Re: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by Kivaro(m): 6:04am On Apr 25, 2009
The 148 is most probably the bank rate. I have this formula that I use. If I want to know approximately what the parallel rate is all I usually do is find out (via internet) what the bank rate is then I would add any amount between 20 and 40 naira to the bank rate then I would look for a buyer and hear them out. You can always sell at the rate at which you are confortable with. So far, my fomula has not failed me.

Wasere Egbon! Ojasi! Olu Aiye!! ahhahaa people are now making it big time with this Naira shiT!!!

Na waooo!!

I pray DOLLAR SHOULD FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MATCH DOLLAR!! NAIRA BOUNCE BACK OOOOOOOOO  cry
Re: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by egin(m): 2:27am On Apr 28, 2009
Prayer is not going to improve the Nigerian economy or the value of the naira. If that is what you are being told then you are being deceived. Less demand for foreign made goods and increasing the industrial output in Nigeria ( which probably is zero now) using locally available materials are some of the things that can help. Stop praying as prayer will not stop the naira from exchanging for N200 to $1

God help nigeria so how much is £1 to the naira then?
Re: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by maballack(m): 12:07pm On Apr 30, 2009
@crescent,
Just as you have Nigezzie-Nigeria
las Gidis-Lagos
Bengazzi-Benin(edo)
@JJYou
if a $ is 179
and £1 is 1.49$

do the calculation, means £1 = 1.49 * 179=266.7~265 (most likely)
