1. Don't ask your parents for money for 6 months. How can you do this?

There are different ways to earn money as a student. Subscribe to one of them and use it to sustain yourself.

2. Next time you go home, look for any problem in your home. It may be a broken pipe, a cracked wall or an odd behavior exhibited by a younger sibling. Then, call your Dad's or your Mom's attention to it, while offering a solution to it. You can say something like, "Dad, I noticed that the wall at the basement is cracked. I don't think it's safe. I'd like to work on it".

Once you say this, they will change the way they think about you.

3. Don't be talking much while at home.

4. Sometimes, when they bring edible things, just walk away.
