The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Tuesday, deployed a total of 2021 prospective corps members for the year 2021 Batch C stream II orientation exercise in Anambra State.

Speaking at the occasion held at the the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity permanent orientation camp Umuawualu /Mbaukwu Awka South LGA Anambra State, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Baderinwa Yetunde, noted that 981 of them were males, while 1216 were females.

Baderinwa, whose address was read by a Director in the scheme, Mrs Anuri Molokwu, maintained that as a prerequisite to gain entrance into the orientation camp, the corps members were screened for COVID-19 and confirmed fit for the exercise.

"They have also been grouped into platoons to enhance effective participation and I am glad to state that they are adjusting fast. To enhance participatory administration in camp, the camp management have nominated three prospective corps members as corps camp directors in line with directive from our National Directorate Headquarters. They will assist in the day to day administration of the orientation camp," she added.

She urged them to embrace all trainings and activities on camp so that at the end, their capacity would be enhanced and transformed for a greater exploit and societal development.

Baderinwa equally thanked the Anambra State Government for its various support to the NYSC, and employed them to sustain the tempo.
