1. At least two peasants were killed and no fewer than 50 abducted when bandits attacked the Unguwan Gimbiya community on the outskirts of Kaduna, in Kaduna State.

A cleric, who craved anonymity, said: “The bandits struck in the early hours of today (Friday).

2. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has received a mammoth crowd of fresh APC members who recently dump the party to the PDP in Shelleng LGA.

The aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in their thousands who defected into the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Shelleng local government area said they were doing so to contribute to the development of the State through a PDP led Government.

3. Irate youths in Bashorun, Ibadan, Oyo State, have set ablaze an unknown suspected thief over claimed phone theft.

The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, December 3, when enraged youths at Winners Way, Oyebamiji Street, Bashorun Ibadan, set fire to an unidentified person over the theft of a phone.

4. A judge in a State High Court, Uyo, Thursday, scolded a defence counsel in a suit in which the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, was awarded N1.5 billion as damages for libel.

Ekaete Obot, the state’s Chief Judge, lashed out at the counsel, Inibehe Effiong, who said the court had breached the Nigerian Constitution in its December 15, 2020 judgment against his client, Leo Ekpenyong.
