Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid is a Nigerian musician and songwriter. He became very popular with his song Holla at Your Boy.Wizkid was born on 16 July 1990 in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria to Alhaji Muniru Olatunji Balogun and Jane Dolapo. Wizkid has 13 other siblings but their names aren’t available. Growing up the songwriter used to listen to King Sunny Ade, Fela Kuti, and Bob Marley. Wizkid had his basic education at Ijebu Ode Grammar School.

Wizkid started his career at the young age of 11 when he started recording music and managed to release a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.
However, in 2009, he got to a record label called Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) but left after his contract with the label expired making him create his own label. He is currently signed to RCA Records in the US. RCA Records is an American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America.
