Update from SIGGY

For yet-to-be known reasons, a coffin and obituary poster were placed at the gate of Federal University of Technology, Owerri, (FUTO) Imo state.

Siggy has although previously reported that there is a serious land dispute between the management of FUTO and the host community.

It was said that the obituary poster was allegedly pasted by members of Obinze Community for the Vice Chancellor who is actually still alive and well.

In a video shared online by instablog9ja, a student who drove by the school spotted the coffin on the ground just outside the gate.

He expressed concerns and considered going home till the situation comes under control.

Traffic was said to have built up around the school on Tuesday as a result of the development.

Could remember this was also done to Mrs Taiwo Akande (fmr Rector) by the both teaching and non teaching staff of the Fedpoly Ado Ekiti then. It's over 5 years now nothing do the woman. So this not strange to Fedpoly Ado and Futa students
