If you don't want your children to miss what you missed, try enrolling them in a British or Montessori School. A lot of rubbish has changed how English language supposed to be. American call Pant, British call trouser; Nigeria claimed they use British language and some people call it 'pant trouser'. The same goes for toilet and loo, Football and soccer, candy and sweet, cookies and biscuits, knicker and short.
Basically, English language in Nigeria is purely rubbish. Most of our teachers taught us rubbish not because they did it willingly but they are ignorant as well.
