The project commensed with the setting out of the foundation by the project surveyor using surveying instruments and the working drawings.
The project methodology is the constuction of a framed structure.

The Excavation of the foundation commenced after the setting out operation.
The foundation type employed for this project was isolated Pad and Strip foundation.
Excavation of the isolated pad began buy excavating the individual pad bases down to a depth of 1.6m.

Start of Reinforcement works
The pad base varried from 3m x 3m to 1.5m x 1.5m.
The reinforcement works for the colunm starter bars was also done.

Continuation of excavation works.

During the excavation process, some of the excavated pits got flooded by underground water.
This prompted the request for a change request to enable us employ Reinforced concrete Grade beams to link the affected pad bases.
After the approval of our change request. Excavation for the RC Grade beam with dimensions of 300mm x 450mm commenced

Blinding of the trench and pad bases with 75mm concrete with mixed ratio 1:3:6
NB
Blinding is the placement of weak concrete to level the excavation surface and prepare it to receive the Foundation concrete of higher concrete strenght and thickness.
