The Nigerian citizen is the nunber 1 culprit.

Buhari, GEJ, Obasanjo and every other leaders are part of the citizens so those of you who want to separate the country from its leaders should reconsider

Nigeria's problem is simple...we rely too much on one source of income.

Oil money

The problem is, the fact that the oil price never stays where we want it, but is always below the price we want it to be (which is why someone like GEJ took loans on a regular basis, because even at $100 or more, we stll needed it to be higher)...means we get broke and have to take loans

Also, we are using oil money to pay for the things that income from income taxes should be paying for. Like subsides...subsides in ohter parts of the world are paid for by income tax revenue. In Nigeria, subsides are paid for by oil revenue...which means when oil prices are low, we start struggling to pay.

Nigerians love effizy and are not productive enough to afford their desires. We want fine cars, houses, clothes, and phones, yet we produce non of these things and majorly earn foreign exchange from the sale of crude oil. We also have an ever increasing population.

Without major structural changes, the suffering in Nigeria has only just began. If you can run, please do.
