The image of the leave below is justicia Carnea commonly known as hospital too far, "ewe eye" in Yoruba and "ogwu obara" in Igbo. It is a blood building herbal tonic used in the treatment of ANAEMIA (LOW BLOOD).
It has also been reported that the herb has cardioprotective properties, antioxidant and are generally rich in VITAMINS and MINERALS.
It is usually prepared with edible vegetables to make soup or boiled separately in water to make tea.
This leaf is good for those with anaemia which can come about as a result of blood loss during monthly period (especially in fibroid patients) or sickle cell anaemia.

How to take it
Wash the leaves properly, then
1. Cook with other vegetables to make vegetable soup Or
2. Boil, sieve and drink a glass 3x in a week.
