Throughout Nigeria's modern history, leadership challenge, or to put it more succinctly, lack of purposeful and coordinated leadership had stagnated our growth as a nation.

Asian tigers, some of which we started off about the same time had enjoyed, and, are still enjoying economic prosperity.

What then is responsible for our predicament -- lack of sound leadership, which would pursue vigorously and implement national development policies and programs in the country.

Most stakeholders, policy analyst and statesmen in the country had consistently harped on the need for a "Sixty-something year old" leader, to work with youthful demographics in pursuing sustainable policies to drive the economic prosperity and ensure national stability.

Such requirements aptly fit our amiable VP. He works round the clock, his agility is not in doubt. His mental alertness is second to none. The esse at which he executes policies assigned to him is simply amazing. Eloquent to a fault, his oratory disposition is awesome. Above all, he's technocentric, a 21st century reality in leadership.

Nonetheless, the coming weeks and months would usher in bizarre and intriguing scenarios. Attacks, counter attacks and rebuttals would permeate the media space. Everyone would try to sell his candidate, or candidacy. Attack dogs will be unleashed. Prof OSINBAJO would not be spared, yes, he wouldn't. His candidacy remains a great threat to some persons and interest.

Some would oppose him on the basis of parochial interests. Others, for economic interest -- Economic Saboteurs, feeding fat on our common wealth. These forces would launch coordinated campaign of calumny on his person and character. Why? Simply because he's the man to beat.

We must relentlessly "Shine our Eyes", and keep watch, and anticipate this. If we desire to make the most out of this country. If we desire a secured future for our children and generations to come, we must be dogged in ensuring the VP gets his party's ticket and, eventually the mandate to rule Nigeria.

2023, will be a year like no other. Political gladiators from the South would test their might apparently in the rush to get to Aso villa. The South, must put its house in order, some Northern hawks would lay siege, bid their time for any fallout, should the southern policians faltered, or goofed.

As we root for VP to become President of a United, Federal Republic of Nigeria, we must bear in mind, the task is humongous. Because, he remains by far, the most competent, who understands the dynamics of the country.

Let's rally support for this amazing Technocrat by making him the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, come 2023
