Couples with 1.5m for 12months which is 18m plus other allowance expenses which can amount to 8m which equals
1.5m *12= 18,000,000
13m*4 quaters= 52,000,000
Allowances (which can be up to) 8,000,000 per year

Grand total = 78,000,000

78m multiplied by 109 senators gives us 8.5bn and you said this country is poor or broke ? You haven't even added the cost of the lower chamber of the legislative arm, the Judiciary or Even the Almighty Executive that doesn't even follow it's budget.

When they want to defend themselves they would compare themselves to the United States Senators and how they earn USD174,000 per annum. But yet they will fail to compare how robust the US Economy is compared to that of this shithole. Besides 174,000 is 174,000 nothing attached taxes would still be paid from that. But we know in this country anything goes.

With all the promise of drastically cutting cost of governance, I must say buhari has failed us woefully. What a shame !
