Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria, especially in the north.

He made the remarks in an interview with BBC Hausa.

Senator Kwankwaso feels that letting the crisis take time and not taking action is why it is now seeking the help of the authorities.

He added that the situation in Nigeria was “appalling”, adding that he had never expected the situation to deteriorate since he left the ministry of defense.

“The issue is not about the president, it is a matter that we know about the president until everything is said to him but now things have changed,” he said.
