he Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday 13, December 2021 relieved Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr off his job, despite qualifying the team for World Cup playoff slated for March 2022.

With Rohr now sacked as Super Eagles coach, quite a number of Nigeria players will be hoping for a better opportunity with the team, having been frozen out of the Eagles fold for a longtime.

The former Partizan Belgrade forward registered a goal against Real Zaragoza in Saturday’s LaLiga Smartbank tie, which helped his team pick all three point.

With his goal on Saturday Umar now boast of eight goals in the 2021-22 campaign, and would hope his performance earns him a place in the Nigeria team.
