I was living in Lagos but served in Ekiti state. The number of trips I made that year alone ehn! I don't know the spirit living in me that I wasn't afraid of anything. There was no kidnapping or armed robbery then but what about road accidents? Youthful exuberance wouldn't let me care. I just want to be with my bf then, now hubby. Work wouldn't let him come, so I was doing the going. Altogether, I didn't spend three months in Ekiti.

O mehn, God's grace na on different levels on top different people lives. I still remember that year, I was partly ghosting my service year so I'd travel from Uyo to Mowe now and then throughout the period of the program. I'm still grateful to God. It wasn't easy.

If you can survive in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere else...
