He said the call for the reclaiming of the forest was now or never, adding, “It is no more issue of farming or hunting in our forest but for us to take full ownership of the forest.”


Is this not the same position that Governor Akeredolu took some months ago that he was attacked for by Malami and some other insensitive northerners? So, why is Ganduje talking about taking control of the forest reserves from Bandits when they opposed Ondo state fro doing same some months ago?

The general insecurity in the country has festered for long because of the politicization and tribalization of the problem. We are quick to read political, tribal and religion into every problem confronting the country and as a result, we always miss the opportunity of quickly dealing with problems before they become monsters. Sadly, we are all paying for the insecurity we encouraged directly or indirectly.
