"We won't go hunting and now Mamad will lie to the queen. Tomorrow we will laugh on his behalf."
But the wise Mamad went to the palace and said:

"Maybe you should prepare a big feast for lunch tomorrow, and maybe you shouldn't. Maybe the king will come by noon, and maybe he won't."

"Tell me will he come, or won't he?" - asked the queen.

"I don't know whether he put his right foot on the stirrup, or he put his left foot on the ground after I left."

Everybody waited for the king. He came the next day and said to the queen:

"The wise Mamad, who never lies, lied to you yesterday."

But the queen told him about the words of Mamad. And the king realized, that the wise man never lies, and says only that, which he saw with his own eyes.

Since Jo has been saying let's(christians) get along no matter the differences, I guess what he'll say is, the greater truths are whatever your church's doctrines are and the lesser truths are other church's doctrines.

This way, no one is wrong and everybody is right to some varying degrees.

IMO he's probably right becase every christian can back up whatever he or she says with the holy book.

maybe he would have been able to convince some of their customers who now realise that CEC is one big fraud that they are not lying to them, they are just revealing 'lesser truths' to them becos of their baby teeth that can't handle the 'greater truth'

Examples:

1. Lesser Truth: The sick shall be healed in Jesus name  (Yes it is true) but
Greater Truth: We WERE healed over 2000 years ago by His stripes.

Some Christians say ''I am sick. I pray to receive my healing''. At that level of truth, they are right - God wants our wellbeing. However, there is a greater truth, which is for Christians to now live in divine health, as  made available by His stripes. Those in ZION won't say ''I am sick'',

2. Lesser truth: Abraham became the father of many nations. He later had children and today, his seeds are everywhere, in fulfillment of the promise.

Greater truth: In Romans 4 v 17: ''(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and[b] calleth those things which be not as though they were[/b]''.

Abraham became the father of many nations the moment God called him so!. God changed his name from Abram to Abraham.  The evidence was the
faith Abraham had in God. This's the spiritual reality!

This example applies to Christians today. While one looks out for a physical proof for answered prayers, the other receives and shows faith as the proof. He rolls on the floor, thanking God, even when there is no physical proof.

3. Lesser truth: Jesus was the son of Joseph and Mary. True or False? True!'.  if that's all we knew/believed about His parentage, it would discount His value to us. Hey! we know the Greater truth- the Son of  God.

4. Let me use a secular scenario as an example:

   Lesser truth: Goodluck Jonathan is a PhD holder.  If this was all we knew about him, then  we would only address him as ''Dr Jonathan''. May be he could be of help to us in the academic world.  Whereas . . .

  Bigger truth: Goodluck Jonathan is the President of Nigeria. Need I say more?
