Bello Masari Decorated Most Proactive Governor In Nigeria by National Peace Award

In recognition of his proactiveness in securing the lives and property of indigenes and residents of Katsina, the state Governor, Bello Masari has been honoured and awarded as the Most Proactive Governor in by Nigeria by the National Peace Awards committee.

Recall that in December 2020, the swift intervention of the governor had led to the rescue of about 300 pupils abducted and kidnapped from a boys' secondary boarding school on the outskirts of Kankara, Katsina State.

This followed an attack by a gang of gunmen on motorcycles at the Government Science Secondary School, where more than 800 pupils reside.

At the decoration which took place at Katsina State governor's lodge in Abuja, the National President of the messengers of peace ,convener s of the prestigious National Peace Awards , Dr. Suleiman Adejoh said the leadership sagacity Gov. Bello Masari has shown helped in bringing security challenges in the state under control that lead to the rescue of all the kidnapped boys

Joined by some of the committee Executives and the Queen of Peace International, Dr. Adejoh congratulated the governor for redefining public service with excellent performance where he has put the security and welfare of the people of Katsina at the forefront in his leadership.

He called on leaders across the country to take a cue from the dedication, proactiveness and high political will Gov. Masari has exhibited in putting Katsina on the map.

The governor who was earlier unveiled as a Patron of Messengers of Peace organization at Abuja expressed gratitude to the leadership of National Peace Awards for finding him worthy of the honour.

He further pledged to contribute his utmost best in the efforts to make the country a peaceful and egalitarian nation.
