Osun State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Yemi Lawal, has said not only informed citizens, but also stakeholders in government who understand the fiscal health of the state marveled at Oyetola's performance despite challenges that would have hindered his capacity.

Describing the Governor as an intelligent, prudent and efficient administrator, he said the situation which had resulted in the state's itherto inability to perform some of its recurrent expenditure obligations would have worsened if Governor Adegboyega Oyetola were an extravagant person.

Featuring on a live radio interview hosted by Ilerioluwa Vendors in Osogbo yesterday, the Commissioner stated some of the achievements of the governor in his ministry in the last three years.

According to him, not less than 10, 618 thousand youths in the state have benefited with monthly pay for two years from World Bank Public Work Fare in partnership with the state government.

Similarly, the Commissioner said no fewer than 4,600 youths have also benefited from Osun-CBN joint Social Intervention Funds with each of the beneficiaries receiving between five hundred thousand and 2.5 million Naira.

Speaking further, he added that not less than 2,000 youths in the state were direct beneficiaries of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) free registration courtesy of the state.

"We don't have the luxury of time to itemize all the governor has done in the state's Ministry of Youths and Sports, as the list of his achievements is a long one.

"However, it is on record that on assumption of office, because of Mr. Governor's youth priority, the first assignment given to us was on empowerment of youths".
