What happens if a successful candidate doesn't accept the PTDF scholarship for one reason or another. Can the person's slot/award be passed on to the next high ranking candidate from the state abi the state forfeits the slot entirely

It will be best if it’s passed on to the next best candidate as some people might have gotten funding elsewhere. Can an ex-scholar confirm if this is the case ?

Bro, I understand how you feel, and i'm equally as anxious as you are, I get email notifications and I say to myself "could this be ptdf?" but the bitter truth is this, the best we can do right now is "wait and pray". Nobody here is going to give you accurate answers to the questions you may have. Personally, in recent times, whenever I get updates on this thread, am expecting to see that the list is out (with evidence) and emails are rolling in. So my advice is this (even though you don't have to take it), prepare your mind for the possible outcomes, plan accordingly and be calm because only God & the ptdf management knows when the list will be released for sure. Remember the key points in all I have written, prayers, planning and patience, see you at the top.

Partial scholarship can have different meanings. But in the case of PTDF, I think it may mean a process whereby your university will offer you a tuition-free admission so that PTDF will be responsible to pay only for your living expenses I believe PTDF is already doing this especially to scholars in Germany and France where they have strategic partner universities.
