A WOMAN who was arrested after a house fire killed two sets of twins has been bailed.

Kyson and Bryson, four, and Leyton and Logan, three, died in Sutton, South London on Thursday after the inferno ripped through the entire ground floor just before 7pm.

It is understood the home's PVC-covered front door caught fire - possibly due to Christmas fairy lights - and then erupted in flames.

In spite of the blaze, brave firefighters rushed inside and rescued the little ones before giving them CPR on the street outside until paramedics arrived.

Tragically, all four children were pronounced dead when they were taken to hospital.

A 27-year-old woman was later arrested on suspicion of child neglect and will return to a south London police station in mid-January, the Metropolitan Police said this afternoon.

Chief Superintendent Dave Stringer, policing commander for Sutton, Croydon and Bromley, added: “The thoughts of everyone at the Metropolitan Police are with the family and friends of the four young boys who lost their lives in this tragic incident.

"Local detectives continue to investigate and will be working with colleagues from the London Fire Brigade to determine what caused the fire and to investigate any other relevant matters."
