Love In Deed And In Truth.

“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18 (NKJV)

Our opening scripture today lets us know that if you say you love someone and there are no actions to prove it then that love is not sincere according to the Bible.

In Ephesians 6:24 (NKJV) the Bible says, “Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”

How do we know sincere love? Sincere love doesn't deceive and it has action to it. Sincere love treats the other person as important.

Romans 12:9-10 (NIV) says, “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

True love is putting the other person first. If you are married and walking in sincere love, you should put your spouse first.

1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV) says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
