Firm inaugurates Ocean City in Lagos

A new real estate project, Ocean City, described as Africa’s first green and smart city, was inaugurated in Lagos State on Friday.

The project, touted to revolutionise the geographic, economic, and social landscape of Africa’s centre of commerce, was inaugurated in Victoria Island, Lagos at a programme attended by prominent Nigerians from all walks of life.

Personalities present at the programme include a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Bode Rhodes-Vivour; Managing Director, Ocean City Lagos, Adewunmi Osagie; President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Michael Olawale-Cole; Mr Seun Obasanjo, a son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo; and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Ozhekhome.

Osagie said some of the best development experts in the world would be working on the project to ensure the safety of Lagosians and Nigerians by extension.

She also stated that the idea was borne out of emerging global trends in urban development, and that the island, when completed, would set the benchmark for real estate development in Africa and beyond.

She said, “We live in an ever-changing world with increasing demands for futuristic solutions. The definition of luxury has now shifted, with rising expectations of quality standards in premium and innovative living.”

“We identified this gap and as a company, we are now on a mission to not only bridge that gap but leave a mark while at it.”

“This city, our city, Ocean City Lagos, will not only break records but become a blueprint for real estate in Africa and ultimately a beloved destination for tourists all over the world.”

Ocean City Lagos is promoted by Ocean City Lagos Limited, an affiliate of the 43-year-old Sea Global Energy with interests in communications and real estate sectors.
