This is the position I have maintained abinitio. There was never a primary in APC as far as Anambra election is concerned. The court only just did the needful by affirming the obvious.

APC Governors walked their party into a legal conundrum trap in their desperation to get Comrade Oshiomhole out. They should probably get ready to harvest a lot of court pronouncements against them in few weeks.

They have a president that should have been wiser and saw ahead of time but he is more shortsighted than the 'demigod' governors.
What Oshiomole was doing wasn't perfect but it was far better than how their party is almost crippled now.

It had little to do with Buni.
Direct Primary was held and the Committee was chaired by Dapo Abiodun. They did it the "direct Primary" way by writing fictitious results, which Moghalu, Ikeazor and Ngige (the Abuja politicians) didn't let sliding down.

They petitioned the Party that there was no Primary. INEC report leaked that there was no Primary, yet they went ahead to accept the Primary.

Moghalu took the Party to Court and he just won. Uba is not a Buni person....let's not get it twisted.

This is the failings of the State Chapter of the Party to put its house in order, just like Zamfara in 2019.

But Anambra doesn't have a sitting APC Gov.

There was a Primary held and results announced June 27, with the deadline by INEC been July 1.

We have had very faulty primaries but yet all members of the State Chapter agree to stick. In that of Ortom that produced him as the APC candidate in 2015, there was no known Primary, but members agreed not to petition as only one who participates in a Primary can challenge same.

Ortom had just finished 3rd in the PDP primary, resigned and defected to the APC and was given the ticket by what was termed "consensus."

In the case of Anambra, the National was assured by the State Chapter that it will be handled, they tried to persuade the bigwigs but it failed. Conducting of Primaries, especially Direct Primary is financially exhausting, even as the Party could not meet up in hours.

Ngige's Cousin was even appointed Deputy-Gov'ship candidate and others assured of one or two but yet again, it was rebuffed.
It was a near-impossible situation.

It all falls on the table of one man though, Buni.

The judgement was slated for Nov 4 but the APC through its lawyer wrote to the judge that the matter should be adjourned to the initial date of Dec 20 because the effects of the judgement could exacerbate the security situation on the eve of the election.

He was the former National Auditor in the Oshiomhole-led APC and appointed DG, NIWA by Buhari in 2019. Yes, he is an APC member.

I keep having a funny feeling that the legal stumbling blocks are being delibrately encouraged by top apc leadership to ensure the party does not feature in the next elections. I don't know why and it may sound incredible but judging from the Zamfara and Rivers states experience in the last elections, I see possibility of not even having the party on the ballot sheets. Sound incredible but there might be a delibrate end goal being pursued here that some will not realize until too late.

George muoghalu came third in the primary. He took them to court before the election..
Andy ubah won apc primary with 230,000 votes... The person who came second was 21,000..while George muoghalu got 18000 votes...

George muoghalu is from Anpp faction of Apc..

He is the current managing director.. NATIONAL INLAND WATERWAYS AUTHORITY..


Expect EFCC to go against him in the coming days for spoiling show for the faction Andy ubah represent..
