The real truth: God will never change His Word to fit into what Church Councils have declared - our only safety is to be faithful ONLY to the Word of God.

Do not become like Nadab, Abihu, Uzzah and others - making false assumptions about the laws and will of God and thus incurring his wrath upon themselves.

God means just what he says.

God means just what he says.

Uzzah should not be on the list.
His only error was trying to prevent the ark of covenant from falling. And for this he was stuck dead.
That's pretty harsh.

None of us would be alive if God was truly like this.

Their destruction serves as warnings for those who finds themselves in the era of the second covenant {1Corinthians 10:11} during that time they lived when God purposely chose a nation that's serving as a mirror of how God's Kingdom will be during Christ's reign.
They knew God's commandments, the blessings and curses that goes with those who keep it as well as defaulters.
So these people's death is telling us to be mindful of how we will handle sacred things now and in the New System God promised. 2Peter 3:13
Uzzah's blunder came at a very crucial time when God was correcting his people for their stupidity. The Ark of Covenant was seized by God's enemies and after the true God has dealt harshly with His enemies they fearfully returned God's Ark with gifts believing that He will turn His anger away from striking them.
But they mounted God's Ark on a chariot and used two bulls to pull it towards the boarders of Israel. David and his people went there and used animals to lead the Ark of Covenant that's to be carried by four Levites (according to God's law)
That's why an angel was sent to remind them what they supposed to do by making the Ark stumble on a stone so that it was about to fall.
Had it been it fell the people will remember what the law says regarding that Ark that's exactly when Uzza a Levite who supposed to alert them regarding what they did wrong wanted to rescue the Ark from falling.
Surely it was the angel that angrily struck him dead instantly.

Lesson learned!

We shouldn't be presumptuous taking the law into our hands if we notice any mishap in the congregation, we only need to call the attention of an elder and tell him the reminders God's Holy Spirit gave us, then it's left to the body of elders to act.
Most people today are doing exactly what Uzzah did by going ahead to open their own churches instead of calling the elders in their former church to right what they thought was wrong. The worst is after creating their own Church they now add it to the over 41,000 sects claiming denominations in Christianity with contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines.
Why not stand out to tell the former church that they are wrong if truly we know something is wrong so that when they refuse to make amendments we will not sit down with them as denominations knowing fully well they are doing the wrong thing? Psalms 1:1

God's Kingdom is fast approaching any group that's practicing what is wrong will be totally destroyed with all it's members! Revelations 18:4
