Guys, what further proof of Tinubu's credentials to be President than this?

Tinubu, from his first day in office as Governor, has always been about States being self-financing and free of begging-bowl addiction to Federal Government Abuja funding.

The man and Lagos are walking the walk sha 100%. Lagos is financing it own stand-alone development. It is now a Nation-State that is richer than the likes of Kenya, Ghana and majority of African nations.

Lagos always setting the pace and being first at everything superlative because of the brains leading her.

What Lagos is doing below Ghana, Cameroon, Togo etal cannot do easily because Lagos now has a very high credit profile enabling her access to very keen and willing lenders in premium capital market . Facts are facts sha.

Lagos Raises N137.3bn Through Bond to Finance Infrastructure Projects

•Sanwo-Olu: It’s the largest bond ever by a sub-national in Nigeria

Segun James

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday signed a N137.3 billion 10-year bond to finance key infrastructural projects in the state.

At 13 per cent, the debt instrument is under the N500 billion fourth debt series expected to run between 2021 and 2031.

At the signing ceremony which took place at the State House, Alausa in the presence of the 24 issuing houses and eight trustees among others, the governor said the bond was to finance key infrastructure projects, on roads and healthcare.

These he listed to include the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Lekki Regional Road, Rehabilitation of Ijeododo road and Rehabilitation of the alternative route to Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza.

“In the last eight months, and with the unwavering support of our transaction advisers, we have been able to achieve this laudable feat — which to some observers had seemed impossible.

“We set out to raise up to N125 billion and closed the Book Build with bids totalling N137.3 billion. This strong response from the investing community – to our administration’s debut bond issuance – is humbling and is indeed a testament to continued investor confidence in the state’s ability to deliver on its infrastructural and socio-economic developmental objectives; and to meet repayment obligations.

“Notwithstanding the significantly over-subscribed book, and active participation from a wide array of institutional investors – including banks, pension fund administrators, asset managers and corporates, Lagos State has maintained its discipline on size and pricing. Mindful of the prevailing yield environment, the Series IV Issuance was maintained at N137.3 Billion and cleared at a coupon of 13 per cent per annum. Only bids within the clearing bid were accepted,” he explained.

The issuing houses were led by Managing Director Chapel Hill, Denam, Kemi Awodehin.

Say what you want. Development the World can see and feel, illustrated below that has made Lagos a darling of the premium capital market, is the reason "landlord" is respected universally as a politician.

This strong response from the investing community – to our administration’s debut bond issuance – is humbling and is indeed a testament to continued investor confidence in the state’s ability to deliver on its infrastructural and socio-economic developmental objectives; and to meet repayment obligations.

If only other "landlords" in Nigeria can be benevolently useful and productive for their Stated then would Lagos have so much inward migration per day from so many States of Nigeria?

All of you sit there attacking the One state and only "landlord" carrying Nigeria yet would our nation not be great if other "landlords" like Orji kalu, Atiku, Goodluck Jonathan, Peter Obi, James Ibori, Tambuwal, Moin Moin Buni, Matawalle etal achieve even 2% of what Tinubu has for Lagos?

This is why Tinubu is an African darling of his peers worldwide. Politicians worldwide are aware, even more than you and most Nigerians, of the crippling corruption in our system that means nothing gets done and stagnation is the norm.

Yet same folks always show a willingness to spend time with Tinubu, partner with Lagos and, illustrated by this thread, commit their cash to further development of the State because they realize BAT is exemplary for achiveing so much in a system such as Nigerian where most states are failed, hopeless and near bankrupt.

USA just invested an insane amount of money to secure a very prestigious embassy and diplomacy headquarter in Eko Atlantic that is a vision and brainchild of "landlord".

Una dey call the bobo crook yet the world sees someone associated with exemplary progress and development in the midst of 'nothingness' in most States of Nigeria.

They can see that Lagos is still developing and making giant strides regardless of the core problems of Nigeria.

When a foreigner dispassionately looks at what is going on in Lagos, compared to the abysmal retrogression everywhere in Nigeria, I think they would consider folks like you strange.

They will wonder how you cannot see that Lagos, in the nation it is in and compared to all else around it even beyond Nigeria, is a template of very good governance all things taken into account like the unfeasibly large population that keeps swelling daily with immigrants from other mismanaged and hopeless States.

Dont mind them. The hateful hacks should research how many accredited case study and dissertations has been done on Lagos, Tinubu and Fashola by the most prestigious Universities of learning in the world.

In contrast none will ever be done for any of their mediocre and awful leaders like Peter Obi, Martin Elechi, Okorocha, Theodore Orji, Orji Kalu, Chimaroke Nnamani etal.

Nothing is worse or more pathetic in life than a person so hateful he does not realize that those he hates and criticize are folks he should be learning from.

Igbos should be the last to be attacking BAT when they should actually be urging all their failed and worthless leaders to learn from him and Lagos.

Lol. Imagine those still dealing with cannibalism, roasting and consumption of human flesh nitori oloun, trying to shade Lagos that has left all other States far far behind in progress.

The whole thing would not be so pathetic if Igbos are not the same people who tolerate incompetent leadership, from grossly corrupt throwback leaders, that is the worst in Nigeria by far.

Our IPOBian brothers are so myopic and self-destructive.

We thank God. However, when are we going to replicate this in Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo and Ekiti?

Let's assume Lagos is out of South west then you will be trailing the South South from behind in terms of Gdp, Igr, etc. Even north central won't be far from south west figure without Lagos. We need to think about this.

You should be ashamed of yourself, In fact the whole Nigerians should be ashamed of themselves. Everything and every time, Lagos Lagos Lagos, why?

No diversity, no spread in development. And we wonder why Lagos is overly congested with its infrastructure stressing out before due as a result.

Why can't we have another "Lagos" in Nigeria?

Mumu, it's not bad. That means more jobs to doctors, nurses, cleaners, etc. Less congestion in our psychiatric hospitals, more modern equipments and developments. So find another sarcasm.

I guess u are from Osun?

You just sound like a bitter person, a failure and a loser. Otherwise you would not be asking someone who is bonafide Lagosian the stupid question "Why can't we have another "Lagos" in Nigeria?".

What is his business with the governance of other States? Is it his fault your SE Governors cannot make a single one of the Igbo States even remotely close to Lagos despite you people's 'developer' bragadoccio?

The question you should be asking is why is Lagos so special? Yet we know you and your IPOBian brothers will never have the decency to answer that question correctly because it would mean giving credit to a man you hate needlessly. You would rather make silly and pathetic excuses.

Now get out of here and go and grill some human ankle or rump cool cool

Not everyone that air an opposing opinion to yours is from South east.

So it's specifically about Lagos? I thought we have regional goals in the South west.

Are u insinuating that apart from Tinubu no other person is smart enough to replicate "Lagos" in other states in the South west? Imagine what the South west would look like if we had just Ogun and Ondo surpassing Lagos in all developmental strides.

I wish that Dangote refinery was sited in Ondo. It would have helped in many indices.

Can't u see what I am trying to paint? Even if i was Igbo, I will still benefit from all these directly or indirectly. Not everybody is bitter, please!
