Here’s a scary statistic - 5 to 10 years from now, it will be almost impossible to get a top role in the workforce without some knowledge of data analysis, programming or machine learning. Shocked? Yes, it’s that serious.

So as you spend time with your kids this holiday, let’s ask some tough questions;
Are your kids aware that the world is becoming more and more tech-driven every day? How are you preparing your child for the job market they will eventually enter into?

Regardless of whether or not one wants to work in programming, even regular jobs have started being infused with elements of technology and advanced analytics. Advertising is now Adtech. Education is morphing into Edtech. Even the health sector is being shaped by Healthtech.

It doesn’t take a genius to know that the future is tech-driven and children should be prepared to thrive in such a world. Sadly the average Nigerian school are not equipped to provide the necessary skill-set to compete in such a scenario.

Hence why as a parent, it is important you prepare your children not just for the present scenario but with the mind towards the future.
- Coding has a lot of immense benefits for kids. It can help them:
- Compete in international opportunities
- Be selected for global tech scholarship opportunities
- Boost their cognitive abilities
- And boost their career

So as they begin the holiday, ensure they take the time to boost their productivity and learn how to code.
