The Ebonyi story is truly a very inspiring one... this is the youngest state in the SE and the least talked about compared to the other more "prominent" states in the East, yet its the one state doing absolute wonders without making too much noise.

Ebonyi can be compared to that very quiet and shy sibling who is the last born and is the least noticed among his/her older and more noisy siblings, yet is the wisest among his siblings despite the age.

I have a lot of respect for the governor of Ebonyi, he made my list of promising upcoming politicians in Nigeria

Ask Governors Yahaya Bello and sani Bello of kogi and Niger states respectively for the answer!
That's why Niger Gov is trying by fire by force to escalate security situations in the state in order to use that as excuse for failure. However Zulum is proving him wrong with his developmental feats

Ebonyi has borrowed heavily from Islamic bank while Bornu is getting massive infusion of federal funds for reconstruction from interventionist agencies like NEDC. Most projects are concentrated in Maiduguri as other parts of the state are under boko haram onslaught.

Because the 2 governors are not wreckless spenders, they are willing and ready to fulfill reasonable of their election promises before leaving office.

Rare gems out of the Nigeria governors

There are two ways states get funds.
Borrowing from bank or federal allocations.

You need to check the states budget to get the clear picture.

If a state governor is not confronted with an overbloated civil service and their
predecessor did not overextend states loans, they can fund more projects.
