The Chairman, All Progressives Congress, (APC), in Isiala Ngwa North, Hon. Mentor Onyenkwere has felicitated Christians, Nigerians and APC faithful as they celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a Christmas message he personally endorsed and made available to newsmen on Saturday, Hon. Onyenkwere said Christmas is a season of love, sober reflection as well as a period to sue for peace and unity which are key components that Christ Himself signifies.

He admonished Christians and Nigerians to use the season to reflect on what the birth of Jesus Christ portends as well as brought to mankind, stressing that Jesus Christ is the reason for the celebration just as it is expected that all who share in the celebration exhibit the virtues of love for one another among others.

Hon. Onyenkwere, in the statement urged Christians and Nigerians at large, to use the period to pray for the various challenges bedevilling the country, expressing optimism that these challenges are surmountable if all agree to work together, relegate to the background all religious and ethnic diversities.

On the deplorable condition of Abia State, the APC chieftain stated that God blessed Abian with avalanche of human and material resource, but decried that mismanagement and bad leadership has continued to militate against the full development of the State

He however, enjoined all APC faithful and Abians to keep hope alive and not be dismayed by the bad administration in the state, which is evident in all facets of the State, adding that the needed liberation which will reposition Abia and place it among league of States with selfless leaders is near.

The APC party Chair, commended party faithful in Isiala Ngwa North and South for their massive support and hope in the party while wishing them a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
