Greetings and salutations:

I am planning to come home for a short visit in July and I have a few questions.

(1) My flight will arrive at 420P, I am thinking that it may take another hour or so to clear customs, etc. What are my chances of getting suitable transportation to Ibadan that night in a safe manner?

(2) In the event that it is not advisable to try to get to Ibadan that night, is there a recommendation for a reasonably low cost hotel near the airport for the night? It's just me so I don't need 5 star accommodations but I also require clean and efficient accommodation.

(3) Is it reasonable to expect taxi cabs outside the airport at that time of the day?

no point going to Ibadan that night as the road is now very bad and pretty unsafe at night,u can get a car hire from avis to take you anywhere in Lagos,they are very safe and proffesional and their desk is just outside the baggage claim area.if u are ready to spend some money,u can arrange them to dropu off at ibadan the next morning,u can google avis nigeria to get an idea of cost>i only use them from the mma to ikeja and it costs about 4k.there are many hoel options in the ikeja area but airport hotel is ok and affordable.

I just came back from my trip to Ibadan.

As advised above, the roads are ubber dangerous. DO NOT travel at night on Lagos-Ibadan road.
