Students of African history will be familiar with Idi Amin Dada "The Butcher of Uganda" who ruled that East African nation between 1971 and 1979 when he fled into exile after his military junta's ouster by dissidents backed by the Tanzanian military.

While Idi Amin's well-earned reputation as one of our planet's most brutal despots is undoubtedly the dictator's most prominent legacy, Idi Amin also had a sense of humor and a penchant for buffoonery on the world stage. Youtube is a rich historical archive that offers up gems that would otherwise entail deep research, and among those treasures are a few short video clips in which Big Daddy Amin delivers speeches to frightened audiences of government employees.

In the following clip, Big Daddy Idi Amin waxes lyrical about his plans to invade and defeat Israel, of all places, using "suicide squads" that he claimed were "training" for that imaginary mission to defeat Israel, a small nation blessed with one of the most formidable military forces on Earth.

I commot cap for Oga DeepSight. I was looking for the list of titles that Big Daddy awarded himself, but you beat me to the punch hahaha.

In addition to being one of Africa's most prolific perpetrators of industrial-scale genocide, Big Daddy Idi Amin was a lover of the accordion, which he played at a beginner level while obliging foreign dignitaries to watch with forced smiles.
