A look at the select few clubs to have amassed 100 points in one league season from across Europe’s top five leagues.

Reaching 100 points is, of course, by no means an easy task and only a few clubs have managed to achieve such a feat in Europe’s top five leagues. Here, we have a look at the clubs who have enjoyed 100-point seasons in the past.

1. Real Madrid 2011-12

Dubbed by the Spanish media as La Liga de Los Récords or The League of the Records, Real Madrid’s 2011-12 campaign under Jose Mourinho was an unforgettable one for Los Blancos. It culminated in them winning their first La Liga crown in four years and reaching 100 points in the league for the season. By the end of the season, their league record was 32 wins, four draws and two losses. Others records that were broken during this campaign were most goals scored (121), best goal difference (+89), most away wins (16) and overall wins. Unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo was Real’s top-scorer with 46 goals.

2. Barcelona 2012-13
Wounded by Real’s success in the previous season, Barcelona returned the following campaign more determined to wrestle back their La Liga crown from their arch-rivals. The late Tito Vilanova took over from Pep Guardiola as Barcelona manager at the start of the season and he helped the team to more points than the Catalan club had ever managed in their history. They finished the season with 100 points and boasted a record that read 32 wins, four draws and two losses. Talisman Lionel Messi was their top-scorer with 46 strikes in the league as Barcelona became the first side in Spain’s top division to score in all 38 La Liga matches.

3.Juventus 2013-14

Juventus’ Serie A triumph in 2013-14 was their third consecutive league conquest. However, none of their league wins were as dominant as the 2013-14 season. Under the tutelage of the intense Antonio Conte, they finished the season 17 points ahead of the second-placed AS Roma after accumulating a whopping 102 points, having won 33, drawn three and lost two games. Argentine Carlos Tevez was their top-scorer with 19 goals for him in the league. Besides the Serie A title, the Old Lady also won the Supercoppa Italiana in the 2013-14 season.

Manchester City 2017-18

Manchester City are the most recent club from Europe’s top five leagues to hit the 100-point mark in a season. City, under the guidance of the charismatic Pep Guardiola, won 32 league games, drew four and lost twice over the course of the 2017/18 campaign to finish with 100 points. They finished the season a record 19 points ahead of the second-placed Manchester United and set a number of other Premier League records, including most points (100), most away points (50), most wins (32), most away wins (16), most goals (106), best goal difference (+79) and most consecutive victories (18). They also won the League Cup and Sergio Aguero was their leading goal-scorer with 21 league goals.

Bayern Munich might likely be on this list if the German league has 20 teams playing the league, instead of 18

I think Man City's own is the most remarkable cos it was in a more competitive setting back in 2017. Meanwhile, Barca & Madrid were totally dominant and steamrolling all other liga teams between 2008 - 2012 (before Atletico joined them), so a very high league points total is kinda expected.

Juve's own was the most boring despite being the highest ever. They didnt even have at least a rival like the other ones.

congrats to Madrid n mou for being the first team in Europe to do so but I think it would be very difficult to try such in EPL than doing in other leagues due to the competitiveness of the EPL..
the beautiful tin about barca's record is dt messi did a record for scoring in 21 league games consecutively, azin he scored against each teams he faced in chain n also barca scored in all la liga games, dts insane..

please I have to agree with you....barca n Madrid did it n we all said its bcox dey are the two dominant teams n its easy to knock others off but pep did it in the over hype EPL n in a very surprising way.
19 points ahead of second asif its bayern or PSG, most away wins n most away points in england isn't an easy achievement..
