How To Ensure Your Life In 2022 Won’t Be Like It Was In 2021 by SpiritTraveller(m): 2:11am On Jan 06, 2022
To begin, I want you to sip in the words of the popular Hollywood actor, Oscar Isaac, which will be instrumental in making 2022 an incredible year for you.

The words were uttered by the character he portrayed in the popular thriller/crime movie, A Most Violent Year, released in 2014.

In the movie, he played the role of an immigrant fuel supplier in NYC, who struggles to protect his family and business interests when the city is plagued with rampant corruption and crime.

In one of the scenes, during a dinner meeting, he was asked why he kept holding on to one of his fuel depots, to which he gave an amazing answer, worth noting.

When it feels scary to jump in, that is exactly when you jump! Otherwise, you'll end up staying in the same place, your whole life, he said.

Powerful! Now, here comes further insights on it.

Based on numerous studies on human psychology, a clear reason was found which explains why certain people struggle in poverty or mediocrity their whole life...

...while certain others succeed almost effortlessly in whatever venture they get into.

Think about this, for a moment.

Research has shown that roughly 95% of what we say and do, on a daily basis, happen without our conscious effort.

In other words, most of our activities & behavioral responses, in the course of a day, run on autopilot or habits!

Now, this is wonderful because it doesn't just prevent your brain from imploding due to overwhelm but frees it up to do other things that require thinking.

The potentially dark side of it, is that running on habits puts you in the comfort zone, which gradually shrinks into a danger zone,...

...if your habits are the ones that keep you in one spot, rather than grow you, forward!

A wise one once said that successful people are simply those with successful (good) habits!

Conversely, people who struggle & seem not to get ahead in life, are those with unsuccessful (bad) habits.

Bad habits make you comfortable so they're so easy to build, today! And once installed, they lead you to an unending cycle of pain & regret, tomorrow.

For instance, oversleeping, incessant sex, binge TV watching, etc.

Good habits make you uncomfortable so they're hard (but not impossible) to build, today! And once installed, they lead you to an unending cycle of happiness & fulfillment, tomorrow!

For instance, abiding by a daily, morning routine that builds your body & preps your mind to run your day in an amazingly productive way!

"If you don't do something that scares you, everyday, you have not learnt the secret of life" - Mark Twain

When you do something scary & uncomfortable often, no matter how little, you subtly unlock a new level of your self identity.

Basically, you convince your mind that you can actually do something it thought you could never do!

And when you do it again... and again, over a certain period of time, necessary to install a good habit, the activity becomes less scary & more familiar!

And when the good habit is fully locked in, you'll become an unstoppable force towards your dreams, while attracting to you, those good things of life that others, mindlessly chase!

In 2022, if you want to change the quality of your life, don't just change the way you think & act but make a habit of thinking & acting in that certain way, which propels you ahead!

I'm reminded of the words of a wise author.

All change is hard at first, messy in the middle but gorgeous in the end.

Put all these in mind as you go about your goals, this year.

Don't dwell on the destination. Dwell on the journey to the destination.

Break down the journey into steps, make a daily routine of it and build good habits around them!

A happy new year to you!

Lead The Movement!
