OK it's the long week-end . No Doctors or Walk In Clinic's are open, don't want to go to the ER and wait till god knows when.

Question: what would cause sudden hearing loss?

I'm female, 61, no colds, flu, virus, no dizziness nothing. Was fine Friday night went to bed had a good nights sleep, woke up Saturday morning couldn't hear out of my left ear, it is now Sunday still can't hear.

Does anyone have a clue on what happened? And NOBODY has to tell me that I'm stupid no to go to the ER. I already know that I am.

Hearing loss is a silent killer and immediate medical attention should be sort upon notice to avoid permanent hearing loss.
Unfortunately yours is also coupled with tinnitus (ringing in the ear). Meaning your inner hair cells(responsible for converting soundswaves into electrical impulse to brain) are experiencing fatigue.
possible causes
prolonged exposure to loud noise,
certain pain-relieving drugs,
Old Age,
Meniere disease etc
I hope you have contact an ENT specialist already?

there's a herbal remedy for this whereby I'll use a small certain insect and other ingredients and you'll apply it to your ear it will cure it on time and totally dm me...it's been in existence and works perfectly for children and adults with ears problem dm me

Nigerian ENT specialist will most likely referred Op to an audiologist. All the same, I wish her the best of healthy.

He will definitely need an audiogram(to assist him in his evaluation), and that's done by an Audiologist(not by a doctor).
That's the standard thing to do; there's no problem with it.
He's not referring to the Audiologist for treatment; so don't judge what you don't know.

All of a sudden I am judging what I don't know!
