That is what you think but pythons and every other snakes have their roles to play in our ecosystem.

If you kill all the whole pythons or snakes, those animals or species that snakes prey on & help keep their population on check will just explode & wreck havoc on our ecosystem.


Dragons and other similar animals played their roles too, but the world has moved on.

There was a specie of BOA, Titanoboa cerrejonensis, very gigantic in nature, very long, fat and thick.
I read about how it went extinct many years ago.
Today, only few people have heard about it, nothing changed.


Snakes should leave this planet undecided

If you weren't trespassing on their territory, or cutting of their habitats, why would they feed on your livestock. Animals know their limits, its humans that are dangerous, we tend to encroach everywhere, not considering we aren't the only ones living on planet earth. Mtchewwwww.
Are you on planet earth? Haven't you heard of snakes popping out of the toilet seat? These creatures are damn harmful so you have to do the needful. The earth is also man's habitat and he has to survive.
That aside. What would you have done if you were in the OPs shoes? keep the snake as a pet?

It's sad how snakes are becoming endangered species in Nigeria. What's the Ministry of Agriculture even doing concerning Wildlife?

What a country!
In foreign nations they have plenty food and a lot of chicken and meat. Burger, fries everywhere. People have eaten very very very well. So things like this snake issue is never tempting to them. They just call upon relevant authorities (people who have also eaten chicken and are well paid and well fed) to come and dispose of the snake
Here in Nigeria, everyone is just hungry and looking for money. Any bush animal is instantly killed and eaten.
Even if you do oyibo style and call the relevant authorities to your aid, they won't come because their car broke down, or one guy is not around or whatever reason.
