Since God said in his word,he would never share his glory with any man nor graven image it becomes clearer who an antichrist is when the world or people are trying to elevate or hail or worship one.

The Antichrist would be hailed,cheered on,exalted, praised and worshipped.
Jesus Christ was railed on,jeered on ,debased,reviled on and not worshipped before he fulfilled his mission.

How ever,we see that Jesus Christ told the Jews about the coming ANTICHRIST Whom they were expecting by refusing the lowly and humble Jesus Christ!!!
John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Jesus Christ said,they would receive the antichrist because they have already rejected Christ who came in God's name.

We see how pride of the Jews made them utter an inreversible curse upon themselves.
They said,let his(jesus christ) blood be upon us and on our children!!!
Matthew 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Therefore the Jews ,God's own people rejected Jesus Christ after way back rejecting God when they asked for a king to rule over them
1 Samuel 8:5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
When children of God looks up to man that is limited but want a miracle in the same man, they resort to being disappointed.
1 Samuel 8:19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;
So they rejecteds God's Theocracy and then requested for Democracy
It was sthe spirit of antichrist manifesting on the hearts of the children of Israel.
The voice of the masses,the opinions of the people suddenly became as the voice of God.
1 Samuel 8:20 That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
We know that pride goes before a fall.
So the government of the people, by the people and for the people.
God want mentioned here at all.
