IMO STATE GOVERNMENT REINSTATES SUPPORT FOR INEC, ENJOINS IMO PEOPLE TO REGISTER TO VOTE

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has reaffirmed the State's partnership with the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC as they carry out their constitutional assignment.

The Governor said this when he received the Resident electoral officer for Imo State.

Governor Uzodimma commended the wisdom of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in converting some voting points to polling units in the state and ensured better outcome of registration now there is peace in the State.

Governor Uzodimma also called on Imo people register to vote for it is only through electoral franchise that citizens fight marginalization and other concerns as against voter apathy”.
