Different types of specialists treat people with other techniques. They are known as psychologists or PTSD Therapy specialists. But people should know how to distinguish between both of them and which one is suitable for treatment. Psychologists either have a Ph.D. in psychology or philosophy in a field such as clinical or counseling psychology. Psychiatrists have a doctorate and decide to treat patients suffering from mental health. Interestingly, other mental health professionals might be referred to as doctors. These mental health professionals may have a master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, or counseling psychology. In the end, it is based on the situation of a person and diagnosis of disease, which helps them decide to choose their therapist.
