A group under the aegis of Grassroot Development Movement has expressed its readiness in support of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State Dr.Kayode Fayemi should he decide to declare interest for the Nigerian President in 2023.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia the State capital on Thursday after the January stakeholders meeting of the Association, Hon. Maduabuchi Ogbonna reiterated the need for Nigerians to support a man who can unite the country.

In his words" what Nigeria needs in 2023 is a president who will truly be a Nigerian President. Gov. Fayemi fits into this circle, check his antecedents, He is the only man who can enthrone unity, togetherness and fairness in the polity.

Continuing, he said, "President Buhari has done considerably well in infrastructure, but Nigeria today is divided along ethnic lines and this has hindered development in this country today.

"Gov. Fayemi has the experience, the knowledge, the tact to return Nigeria to where a man from Benue can truly claim that he is a Nigerian, a man from Enugu or Abia here will say yes we are not marginalised unlike today.

“I am the president of Grassroot Development movement and you can see my state executives round about me,today is our first stakeholders meeting for 2022, we will support Gov Fayemi, he has the magic wand in governance.
His achievements both as Hon. Minister of Mines and steel Development and as a two term Governor speaks volume.”

“We call on the All progressives Congress to look the way of Governor Fayemi, he is young, vibrant, Knowledgeable and will be the President Nigerians will be proud of”.
