AFCON 2022: One Possible Punishment Eguavoen Could Hand Umar After He Disobeyed His Orders - STECHITEGIST.COM

Nigeria secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Sudan yesterday at the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament. The Super Eagles had won their first game of the tournament against Egypt and followed it up with a dominant display against Sudan.

Sudan had very little to offer in the game, despite their pre-match statements that they can shock the Super Eagles.

Eguavoen’s men were compact in defence, excellent in midfield and decisive in the attack. If the performance against Egypt was class, yesterday’s performance against Sudan was top class.

While most of the Super Eagles players were praised for their performance, one man who didn’t impress with his showing was Sadiq Umar. The former Roma striker came on for Taiwo Awoniyi in the second half and played like an amateur as compared to his teammates on the pitch.
