Take your time to read this!!!
Earn, Invest, save, spend
The four conditions for wealth is dependent on these 4 concepts.
Before you spend, you must first of all earn money.
Invest!!!
And who told you that Bill gates or Dangote became billionaires by saving?
Okay, imagine working for a company or establishment that pays you 15k every month, having to save 10k from that amount after factoring out your monthly expenses of 5k should result in 120k in a year.
Let’s say you continue saving for up to a 5 years, that should give you 600k In 5 year. Still too small for that period of time!!!
This therefore means that at the end of 5 years you’re not still a millionaire, however you choose to save then why aren’t you making enough? It’s simple, you’re not investing.
The essential ingredient needed for wealth is hinged on investment.
Learn to invest, and this should carry about 60% minimum of the salary you earn. Investing provides an alternative source of income, and you shouldn’t put all your eggs in a single basket even the bible says in
Ecclesiastes 11:1-2
Invest your money in foreign trade, and one of these days you will make a profit. Put your investments in several places — many places, in fact — because you never know what kind of bad luck you are going to have in this world.
You may have started asking yourself what you should invest in, well that’s not the focus of this post today. Hopefully subsequent posts would carry this part.
Thirdly, save!
Ever heard of the saying, “ Make hay while the sun shines”?
Well, it isn’t a mere saying. The bible says in
Proverbs 10: vs 5
“ who in summer gets together his store is a son who does wisely; but he who takes his rest when the grain is being cut is a son causing shame.”
In simple terms make hay while the sun shines—that’s smart!
Going fishing during harvest—that’s stupid!
Creating solutions to your problems while in its infant stages is a great way to peaceful life.
While the sun still shines, mend your broken roofs, stitch your torn tents, As the saying, “A stitch in time saves nine
save during your days of abundance so that you may thrive during the days you lack.
Saving should carry about 35% of your salary!
Speaking of saving, you can always save money in a bank or a piggy bank instead (Saving box)
Although both methods have their advantages and disadvantages
Saving in a bank attracts charges overtime. Charges like ATM maintenance, SMS alerts, and all manner of gibberish sugarcoated to your accounts' detriment.
A piggy bank on the other hand requires extreme dedication and discipline, as you can always break it open if you do not attain a certain level of discipline.
Which is why I recommend Kuda bank
Most of you may have heard of kuda bank, but are probably skeptical about giving it a try.
Well, kuda bank is just your one ticket to unnecessary charges incurred with a regular bank account
Kuda bank doesn’t charge you for making cash transactions, no ATM maintenance fees, no SMS alert charges, kuda doesn’t even change you for monthly bank statement reports

So what are you waiting for? I use Kuda and you should too!!

Finally spend wisely
It’s funny how spending carries the smallest of the ration. How do you intend to spend 5% on your needs? It’s easy, only buy things you ‘Need’ and spend on the things you ‘WANT’ from a fraction of the proceeds gotten from your investments.
We most times spend our money on the things we want such that by the time we realize it, we’ve exhausted most of the money we earn. And it is inevitable to do without the things we need, so the remaining part then goes to our needs, hence leaving out investments and savings.
Here’s an easy trick
Only buy food when you’re not hungry. It sounds stupid but going to a store with a thousand naira, it feels like you should eat everything and before you know it, you’d have spent all your money buying things you actually don’t need.
Better still, cook at home; it saves you money!
And the lord who sees your dedication in secret shall turn your seeds into a bountiful harvest.
