Suspected sea pirates on Monday attacked a passenger boat along Oron-Calabar waterway, kidnapping passengers and leaving some critically injured.
This was shared by a pastor in my church who works with the Maritime Academy in Oron. He uses the sea every week as he spends the weekends with his family in Calabar, then leave for Oron on mondays. This faithful day, he decided to use the roads before the unfortunate incident occurred. Our waterways are not safe and something has to be done urgently. I pray for the immediate release of those held captive.
