It is a common knowledge that mankind relies so much on spices as the key ingredient for preparing and processing food all over the world. However, it is important to understand that plants/weeds that are used as spices must possess strong pungent and aromatic scents to make dishes very delectable. Negro pepper has a smoky aroma and its size is about 5mm length. This seed is usually the main ingredients for making spicy black pepper sauce mostly in West Africa nations. For instance, in Nigeria, pepper soup is not complete without using Negro Pepper seeds as a spice.

It can be used solo or mixed with garlic or ginger for making herbal tea, and can also be used as a preservative.
