In keeping with our emphasis on progressive social change and the cultivation of diversity, we have a special interest in working on behalf of women, minorities, and applicants from other parts of the world who wish to study in America or the UK. Human rights are now the dominant approach to social justice globally speaking, and especially in English-speaking countries.

Most of the work that we do is for the LLM degree, and generally the applicants that we assist are interested primarily in
international issues (immigration, commerce, copyright, etc).

Our clients tend to be applicants who see themselves as global citizens; never forgetting, however, where they came from. Honoring one’s roots, one’s people, in new and creative ways through a career in law is a general overarching goal of most of the applicants that we assist.

We are also very much interested in assisting those applicants to law school who have humanitarian and human rights interests that do not involve international legal issues. Some of our clients have dedicated their lives to helping to protect children that have been abused or orphaned. Others want to specialize in the defense of prisoners and their human rights; some have the long term goal of setting up foundations primarily for the legal defense of members of minority ethnic communities that are all-too-often treated harshly by the system.

Part of our service to you is helping you to think critically about the ways in which groups and organizations mobilize human rights language in a variety of settings, often differently from those imagined by human rights law itself.

Our redaction of your statement will help you to better account for contradictions and ambiguities of human rights approaches to the various legal issues with which you look forward to becoming engaged. We believe strongly that universal human rights is the best ethical principle that we have upon which to base a coherent legal or ethical framework.

Progressive legal advancement is an essential element in the development of living and organic ideas of human rights in context and studying human rights in practice means examining.

The protection of fundamental human rights was a foundation stone in the establishment of the United States over 200 years ago. And the government of the US now claims that the advancement of respect for human rights is a central goal of U.S. foreign policy as embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In this spirit, we are looking forward to helping hundred of additional applicants to law school in coming years, applicants who want to devote their lives to working to hold their governments accountable to their obligations under universal human rights norms and international human rights instruments, promote greater respect for human rights, including freedom from torture, freedom of expression,
Most specifically, it would be a special honor for us to assist those applicants who are interested in coordinating human rights activities, particularly working to reform and strengthen the institutional capacity of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Commission on Human Rights.
