A new interior designing company is in need of textile designers and furniture designers. Experience, Creativity and Innovation is the most important criteria however a basic qualification in Textile Engineering or Management, Industrial or Furniture Designing, Fine Arts, Visual Arts or Applied Arts is an added advantage.

1. Textile Designer:

Qualified candidates are expected:

- To Design original textile prints for curtains, upholstery, wall papers etc.
- To have experience and capacity to create and recreate designs for curtains, upholstery, wall papers, beddings etc.
- To understand and know how to create repeated pattern designs and the various techniques for repeated pattern design.
- To understand various cultures motifs, history and have the ability to recreate.
- To have color sense and be able to create, innovate and contrast colours, to create aesthetically pleasing compatible colours.
- To Initiate and create trending and stunning designs.
- To use CAD software illustrator, Adobe, Corel Draw (Hand Drawing is equally encouraged) for digital textile designing, digitally recreating
texture and patterns finishes such as Jacquard, Patchwork, Quilting, Lace Cut, Embroidery, Hand Cut etc
- To Understand various materials including leather and appropriate designs for them
- To Create and present print concepts/moodboards in collaboration with design team.
- To have general knowledge required of persons in this industry[/left]

2. Furniture Designer: It involves the creation of original designs for furniture typically cabinet and upholstery.

Role Requirement:

- Concept and Schematic Design – Development of innovative design concepts that address the function, work flow, user needs, image of the
project. Prepare presentations for review and approval.

- Design Development – Space planning in AutoCad and/or Revit and initial selection of furniture product solutions and applications. Prepare
presentations for review and approval.

- Product documents - Develop drawings and detailed product specifications

- You should have a strong design eye while also considering how an item functions and can be built.

- The aesthetic and details of fully functional items.

- Construction details, 3D modeling, detailing, and drawing production.

- Coordination with production teams.

- Proficiency in sketching - Hand Drawing and/or CAD sketching apps like Sketchup is required.

- Proficiency in Revit (model in place custom items) preferred.

- Experience with Solid Works could be beneficial.

- Experience in CAD, any of Adobe Suite, Enscape, Revu, Fushion 360, and 3ds max is required, Zbrush, blender CGI is an advantage.

- Experience with custom furniture, built-ins and products required.

- Experience with custom details, materials, and fabrication preferred
