Wat brut abt diz prob. Is dat the ministry of edu. Scrapped medicine, vetinary studies and agric studies 4rm d skul and d affected students were protestin n causin riot. D skul authority had no choice dan 2 shut down d skul indefinitely til further notice. Even those living in d hostels were deeply affected bcuz as at 4p.m y'day. They were told to evacuate d hostels in both d perm site and mini campus b4 6.pm y'day. The hostels are almost empty now. Lets jst hope d skul sort tinx by nxt wk. So dat we can resume fast. Itz even bad nw bcuz d activities n lectures in skul in gettin serious n hotter. N dis tin is jst tryin 2 push tinx backwards at dis serious stages of academic activities.

what do they mean scrapped out!? what would be the fate of students studying those courses?
would other departments absorb them or what?

@jereal. It means dat the programmes has been cancelled in d skul. Diz is as a result of non-accreditation of dis programmes. I jst pity dose affected. They jst spent yrs of waste in uniabj

They will go home with something...wasted?? Nah. If you where in a decision making position I bet you won't let that happen,they will definately be sorted out..this is a picture of how it might end up:for engineering students: they might me given BSC physis or graduated by another school and as for others the might me gruaduated by other schools.

And that is if the VC's doesn't sort things out within the next 6months.well processes are on as to that regards.

Federal Government has lifted the suspension earlier placed on four of the programmes of the University of Abuja as a result of protests by students of the university yesterday at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Education.

@leojimsy, 180 is d cut-off mark 4 uniabj admin. N also b aware dat de admit 2nd choice. I've seen up to 5 persons admitted into uniabj as 2nd choice diz session.

Pls also, dnt expect much names in d nxt admin list, xcept for D.E and remedial. For instance, My dept. Accountin has already admitted 359 students. And. no dept. In uniabj admitted such high numba in last yr's admin.
