I am directed to inform the general public especially Cashew Merchants visiting Auchi for Cashew Business that National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN ) Edo State Chapter has observed painstakingly the sharp and fraudulent practices practices of some local sellers, farmers and aggregators. The association have had to settle cases not less that 12 yearly. Most times money could not be refunded, while other times some parts of the monies involved are recovered. Even some members of our association have had to lost money through the same mediums.
In view of the above the association has come up with the following measure for a successful and hitch free cashew season in 2022.
1. The CSPS Scheme. Cashew Suppliers Profiling Schedule The association has profiled all genuine and registered Cashew Suppliers in our Dossier-The are Captured in the following Schedule -a Supplier Merchant, b Middle Men c Aggregations d Farmers
2 The CCPS Cashew Customer Profiling Schedule -The association has profiled all registered cashew buyers. The are capture in the following categories a Buyer Merchant b Sourer Casscader d Inspection Officer e Exporter e Logistics /Transporter
3 All buyer MUST first visit the associations office in Auchi to obtain a pass before proceeding into the market failure will attract a stern penalty
4 Harmonization of Cashew Documentation in the office -All documentation will henceforth be done in the office instead of on the field
5 Harmonization of all taxes/revenue accruable to government and the association and removal of all illegal taxes
6 Enshrining Stiff Penalties for illegal tax collection at State, and local levels
7 Set up and empowerment of a strong monitoring team to check and arrest offenders and violators of our rules, laws and procedures
8 Cashew price harmonization and standardization
9 Establishment of Corporation /farmers council
10 Trade reporting unit and government/association harmonization unit
