Augustine Eguavoen steps down as the super eagle interim coach after the team’s exist from the Africa cup of Nations on Sunday, 23rd of January.

After a perfect group stage outing, the super eagle lost 1-0 to Tunisia on the round 16 on Sunday night after Youssef Msakni, a Tunisian player took a long range shot in the 47th minute of the game, which knocked the Super Eagles out of the tournament and ended Eguavoen’s hopes of keeping the job of being the coach.
