Atiku would have been better to sell off this NNPC so we can have peace.. Let's know we don't have petroleum agency instead of the nonsense we keep hearing from this corporation of zero oil refining but 100 percent petroleum products import and marketing.
So annoying!

A serious govt will definitely make all the refineries to work optimumly just continue to sack and replace all the nnpc management if the refineries don't work after conducting maintenance on all of them.

The problem in this case is deep rooted corruption where some people siphon billions of dollars with nothing to show.. Same story year in year out.
Politicians have hijacked most of these agencies for their kids and family members. As far as there is budget for them to spend and their huge pay is going, nothing else matters to them.

It's saddening honestly. For how long are we going to continue with this rot in the system?

As far as I am concerned, subsidy is a fraud because we swap crude oil for refined product in what we call ‘swap deal’ so what are we subsidizing except we are paying for transportation. From the little I know sha

[s][/s]In (a) pre-2015 video, Buhari said fuel subsidy was a fraud, that it didn't exist, and that he wanted petroleum economists to explain it to him. He's been petrol minister for the past 6 years and has removed a fraudulent, non-existent "subsidy" 3 times. He'll remove it again next year. What subsidy did he remove and will remove again next year?

Same fuel subsidy ought to have gone a long time ago, but the present wicked crop of politicians especially the president, Tinubu and almost all the politicians under this satanic govt played senseless politics with the issue.Have some shame when defending some of the useless undefendable policies of this present failed govt.

Government is fixing two of the refineries(plus in addition to dangote, there are five refineries under construction, four of which can produce PMS)

The problem is, the refineries need to be maintained, repaired, upgraded from time to time, and expanded...and for that you need subsidy gone, so that fuel would be sold at a price that would enable the refineries to make a good enough profit.

If that is the case, they should wait for full operation of the local refineries befor removing subsidy, that's how a sensible govt should operate or are they subsiding local refineries too?. Are they telling us that their will be no profit to run, maintain and upgrade local refineries without subsiding it .I don't know why this subsidy that has remedy is given every body headache all the time
