I'm not exactly sure of what the right answer will be, but one thing I understand from the responses these other consulates give is that, if they're not the office handling your application, they'll reroute your enquiry to the appropriate consulate handling it. That, to me, serves same purpose as you writing to the primary office directly, which is to constantly remind them to look at your application.

My beautiful people. I feel so blessed and privileged to have joined this forum early enough. Right from the first stage of application for admission to the final process of visa application, I was guided, tutored and advised by so many wonderful and selfless people on this forum. Every single thing I know today about the Canadian study application process, I learnt from here.
This application is actually for my wife who is a first time applicant but I handled the entire process. Yes, there were times we were tempted to let an agent handle the application but the money that was being quoted was a bit too much for us so we opted out and decided to venture into the unknown by handling the application ourselves. I give God all the glory and honor for it has ended in extraordinary praise.
We utilized the NEW PORTAL for the application. I highly recommend using the new portal, it seems to be somewhat faster than using the regular gckey. Our timeline is highlighted below and please note we DIDNT pay any school fees

Hello Kellykk

Yes, they will definitely do another Background chekc and Eligibility review for you even though you have applied before.. Things can change between September last year and now, so they will definitely treat your appreciation like a new application...

IRCC are always thorough when it comes to investigating and reviewing every application..

I will advise you should just be positive cos it will eventually end in praise..

Peace
KellyKk:

Yes positive mind sir as always.

But as a second time applicant does all those Background check and criminal palaba be check again after the one they checked in September last year when they refuse me on personal assets and financial status.

Hello Chechem

IELTS is never a required document for Canada study permit application..

Many applicants just do oversyllabus by submitting it.. it's not a required or compulsory document..

Peace
Chechem:
Dear Makano,
Please I need clarification on something.
The college I am applying to does not need me to prove my proficiency in English because I already possess a degree.
But I want to also ask if ielts or any English test is compulsory when applying for a study permit, after I must have gotten admission?
Thanks in advance...
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by makano: 10:26pm On Feb 22, 2022
Hello Tonia

You didn't make mention of the inflow and outflow of the said accounts..

But this is my advise, you do not need to rush to apply, since your sponsor(hubby ) earns over a million naira monthly, thats makes the work easy.. Give your self some few months and work on your SOA.. I wanna assume his inflow is very good, now he needs to work on his closing balance as the sponsor.. So let him save up for some few months and also you as the applicant..

Even though we have seen peeps getting visa with low closing balance, remember every application is different and unique and also instances like these comes once in a while..

So please still give yourselves some few months, try build your closing balance and have him pay part of your tuition fees if not all..

You have a good chance if you both carefully work on these areas..

And having an express entry shouldn't be a problem cos its stated on their website that dual intention is allowed and I have seen few applicants get their study permit despite having an EE profile.. If you can convince the Visa Officer, you honestly have no problem..

Peace
Tonia1720:
Hello everyone I’m about to apply for a student permit. I got admitted into a Canadian school for a one year PGD course and school fee is 16,000CAD.

My husband is my sponsor and he earns over a million naira monthly, he has 30,000 usd in one account and a little above 3 million naira in another account. I intend to use my husband and 2 children (aged 18months and 5years) as proof of ties.

I have a job that pays 150k monthly since 2019 but have about 200k in my account. I have a car worth 3m and hubby has a car worth 8m. I don’t have a landed property but my hubby has 2 plot of lands but without C of O. But my parents have landed properties C of O.

Also I have an active Express entry profile.

Do I stand a chance with all of these? Or we should save more before I apply.
Please help gurus in the house @makano @frankrobbn @justmellow @lekiboboe

london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca
ldnimmigration@international.gc.ca

abuja@international.gc.ca

Send to nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca, then copy the rest or if you have the patience, you can send to all individually. Majority of study permit applications from Nigeria are handled by VOs at Nairobi, so its good to prioritize them.
Also send to Abuja separately because they give personalized response sometimes, unlike most others that always give generic responses. In fact, If you ginger them very well, when ppr drops, they'll most likely send you a mail about it, more like telling you to carry your wahala and go.
Don't forget to use webform very often. The VOs receive, read and record it in your case file, as you'll find in your gcms notes.
Contacting willing MPs to ask IRCC how far on your behalf helps as well. My eligibility started a day after IRCC responded to the request an MP sent on my behalf.
These are just my opinions based on personal experience, not a guru

Hello
Please, how can I reach out to some MPs

Quick question House and @Makano;

My eligibility has started since Feb 7 and I just changed Job on 15th of Feb. I left the company that gave me Introduction letter with study leave for a better job now in major telecom company in Nigeria.

Do I need to update them with new job since my LinkedIn account as changed ?
I saw something like PFL for fake employment recently. I don’t want this to be interpreted wrongly. Kindly advice…

I also don’t want to affect the process by uploading something that will delay their process.

I’m open to suggestions…

Regards.
